This fund was established in 2010 by Dr. Debra Cartwright, Professor of Business Administration. Since joining the Truman faculty in 1988, Dr. Cartwright has taught courses ranging from Brand Management and Strategic Marketing, Strategic Management, Integrated Marketing Communications to Principles of Marketing. She has also served as advisor for Delta Sigma Pi and the American Marketing Association. In 2020, Dr. Cartwright received the Delta Sigma Pi National Chapter Advisor of the Year Award. Under her leadership as advisor, the Iota Nu Chapter at Truman was nationally recognized for their achievements during the 2019-2020 year with the R. Nelson Mitchell Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Award and the Outstanding Alumni Relations Award for a Collegiate Chapter. |

This scholarship was established in 2011 by Jim Bergman ('90). At a time in my life when I had no purpose or direction, Bobby Cowell's encouragement and influence profoundly changed my life forever. Aven L. Roberts & Eugenia (Ritchie) Roberts Crain |
This scholarship was established in 2002 by Mrs. Eugenia Ritchie Roberts Crain, a 1942 graduate, to honor her late husband, Aven Roberts, a lifelong educator and 1937 graduate of Truman State University. Mr. Roberts began his teaching career in the New Franklin High School in 1941 and also taught in the Kirksville system before entering military service. In 1946 he joined the academic staff at Kemper Military School and College as an instructor of mathematics and completed nearly 24 years of service at the school. He passed away in 1969. Mrs. Crain, originally from Sturgeon, Mo., has also dedicated her career to teaching, having taught first in New Franklin, Mo., and later at Kemper Military School and College, Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) and Central Missouri State University. She retired in 1983 and lived in Columbia, Missouri until her passing in 2019. |

This scholarship fund was established in 2012 by Beverly Davey of Springville, IA in loving memory of her husband, Frank A. Davey. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to commemorate Frank's long and distinguished career in public accounting, and to help continue Truman State University's well-established tradition of producing high quality graduates from its Accounting program. Born in Mount Pleasant, IA, Frank moved to rural Missouri and graduated from Meadville High School. He enrolled at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman State University) and graduated from the accounting program in 1970. While at Truman, he received the IB McGladrey award and was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity. Frank was a Certified Public Accountant and a partner with McGladrey & Pullen in Cedar Rapids, IA for many years. He was active in many civic and community organizations, including the Optimist Club, Chamber of Commerce, YMCA and American Cancer Society. During his career, Frank made several trips to Kirksville to recruit Truman accounting graduates for the firm. He passed away in March, 2011. |

Sam and Sandra Fleak |
This scholarship was created in 2012 by Sam and Sandra Fleak of Kirksville, Mo., to provide scholarships for students from northeast Missouri who major in accounting or business administration at Truman State University. After graduating in 1964 (BSE) and 1965 (MA) from then Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, Sam completed a PhD in 1971 at the University of Missouri-Columbia and taught botany at the college level before returning to Knox County to operate a family farm. Sandra earned degrees in mathematics (AB and AM) in 1970 and 1972 and accountancy (PhD) in 1988 at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She holds a Missouri CPA certificate. Sandra joined the accounting faculty at Truman State University in 1984. She served as Interim Division Head for Business and Accountancy and Associate Dean of the School of Business as well as Professor of Accounting. |

Charles Foudree |
This scholarship was established by Charles M. (Chuck) Foudree in 1998. Chuck graduated from Truman in 1966 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He retired from Harmon Industries, Inc., in 1999 where he served as Chief Financial Officer for 27 years. He was named Truman's Alumnus of the Year in 1999. Chuck served on the Truman State University Foundation Board for eight years, serving as president of the Board for the majority of his tenure. In 2006, he became chair of the Truman State University inaugural Bright Minds Bright Futures comprehensive campaign, a successful $30 million student-centered initiative. He and his wife, Colleen, established the Colleen Foudree PHT Scholarship in 2007. He has served as a member of the School of Business Board of Advisors, an Executive-in-Residence, and a member of the Kansas City Alumni Chapter. Chuck received the President's Leadership Award, one of the most prestigious awards at Truman State University, in 2008. |

Grace Hortense Greenley |
This scholarship fund was established in 2015 through a distribution from the Grace Hortense Greenley Trust. Miss Greenley passed away on December 21, 2014 at the age of 96. Born on the family farm northeast of Novelty, Mo., she earned BS and MA degrees from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman). She taught for 36 years in Missouri secondary schools in Laclede, Edina, Brentwood, LaPlata, Novelty, LaBelle and St. Louis. In 1963, she was selected principal of the newly formed Knox County R-1 High School, a position she held until her retirement in 1976. Miss Greenley coached high school girls' teams for ten years. She was recognized by the Missouri Preservation Organization and Missouri Alliance for Historic Preservation for outstanding work by restoring the farm house and historic barn at the University of Missouri Lee Greenley, Jr. Memorial Research Center in Novelty. |

You Zhong Liu Griffith |
This scholarship program was established in 2012 by Youzhong Liu Griffith and William Douglas Griffith of St. Louis, MO. This scholarship is established to recognize the excellent preparation Youzhong received at Truman State University and to provide opportunity for international students to continue their studies at Truman. She is a 2001 graduate of Truman State University. Youzhong (who also goes by the name Laura) grew up in Tianjin, China. She attended Tianjin University of Finance and Economics and graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems in 1992. Upon graduation, she worked for several Chinese and western companies. In 1999, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in the United States. She chose Truman State because they had one of the highest pass rates for the CPA exam and it was reasonably priced. She applied and was accepted. With minimal financial means, she was able to pay for her education by working part-time jobs on campus and judiciously spending her available funds. After graduation, Youzhong moved to St. Louis and earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant while working for the public accounting firm, Huber, Ring, Helm and Co. Later, she joined Price Waterhouse Coopers as an auditor and most recently has held several positions within the Boeing Company.

This scholarship was established in 2006 with a planned gift from the estate of George ('29) and Ruth Hamilton. George Hamilton was born in 1905 and graduated from Truman State University (then Northeast Missouri State Teachers College) in 1929 with a degree in education. He passed away in 1990 and his wife, Ruth, passed away in 2006 at the age of 100. |

Duane and Joy Hercules Family Accounting |
This fund was established in 2008 by Duane and Joy Hercules of Ladue, MO. A native of St. Charles, Duane enrolled at Truman in 1978 and graduated in the winter of 1981. He began his career in public accounting with Coopers and Lybrand, when he earned a CPA designation. In 1984, he joined the Safety National Casualty Corporation. He is the firm's chief financial officer, treasurer and executive vice president of business development. He is a significant shareholder of the corporation and helped lead its merger with NYSE-traded Delphi Financial Group in 1996. This fund has been created to express appreciation for the excellent preparation Duane received at Truman. |

This scholarship fund was established in 2008 to commemorate the Holman family's long association with Truman State University. The home of Squire Paul and Meeda (Daniel) Holman was located at 1001 South Florence Street, near campus, and the family opened their home to numerous Truman students over the years. Paul served on the Truman staff, working as a custodian in Magruder Hall. They influenced their children, Charles, Wilmer and Vinita, to pursue a college education and had a positive impact on many Truman students' lives through their long association. |

This scholarship fund was established in 2010 by Larry and Sharron Quisenberry of Tifton, GA, to provide opportunity for deserving students to receive a Truman State University degree. Larry Quisenberry holds a bachelor's degree in business education (1966) and a master's in secondary school administration (1975) from Truman State University. He holds a Ph.D. in general school administration and has served as a teacher, school administrator, accountant, and in several position in higher education. He retired as an assistant to the Provost at Iowa State University. Upon graduation from Truman in 1966, Sharron Quisenberry taught in secondary education until entering graduate school, receiving a Ph.D. in entomology. She has spent her professional life as a researcher and university administrator and retired as as Vice President for Research and Economic Development at Iowa State University. Sharron is internationally recognized for research in insect/host interactions and conservation of insect resistant germplasm and is a Fellow of the Entomological Society of America. |

Karl introduced baton twirling as an integral part of the University's curriculum in 1939. Mary Evelyn founded Beta Tau Delta, an honor society for twirlers. |
