| Kyle Brandon Cope Memorial |
| This scholarship was established in 1999 by Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brothers and friends of Kyle Brandon Cope. Cope was an active member and leader of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity. He passed away in an automobile accident in November 1997. He served a term as the Student Representative to the Board of Governors, worked for the city of Kirksville and Senator Joe Maxwell in Jefferson City. |

| John Andrew Crossett |
| This scholarship was established in 2007 by Leo and Caroline Funk in honor of their grandson John Andrew (Andy) Crossett. Andy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Truman in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He credits the academic rigors of the political science major at Truman as having successfully prepared him for his pursuit of a law degree. In addition to his academics, Andy was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Theta Pi, Pi Sigma Alpha and the men's golf team. |

| This scholarship was created in 1986 by Dr. Inks Franklin, former member of the Board of Governors. Franklin began his teaching career in rural schools and soon became a very active member of the Missouri State Teachers Association. Over the years he served as assistant, deputy and acting executive secretary of the organization. |

| The family of Dr. Jack W. Hines established this scholarship in 1977 as a memorial to a man who served Truman as an instructor of political science from 1968 through 1976. |

| Dr. William Kitts Memorial |
| Friends and relatives have memorialized Dr. William Kitts through a scholarship endowed in 1983. Kitts came to Truman in 1966 and served as associate professor of social science education through his retirement in 1978. |

| This annual scholarship was established in 2000 by Bonnie (Neuner) ('87) and Kevin Kuebler ('90) to provide financial support for a deserving social science student. |

| Noah P. Richardson |
| This award was established in 1986 by family and friends in memory of Noah Richardson ('38). He spent more than 40 years at Truman and retired in 1974 with the title Director Emeritus of Independent Studies. |

| Terry and Faye Whitworth Social and Cultural Studies |
| This scholarship was established in 2019 with a cash gift made by Terry and Faye Whitworth of Tacoma, Washington. Terry and Faye were graduates of Truman State University (1968). Terry graduated with a Bachelor of Science in education (Zoology) and Faye with a Bachelor of Science in Education (Social Science). Both Terry and Faye earned post graduate degrees from Utah State University. Faye holds a Master of Science and Master of Education and Terry holds a Master of Science and PhD in Entomology. Upon earning his PhD, Terry worked as an entomologist for a pest control company in Tacoma, Washington and Faye taught high school History. Terry eventually started Whitworth Pest Solutions and is an adjunct professor with the entomology department at Washington State University. He has devoted many years to the study of blow flies and their relatives and is well known as an expert in the taxonomy of the family. Both Terry and Faye credit their education at Truman for preparing them for graduate studies and successful careers. |

| This scholarship was established in December of 2011 by Dr. Jon Hagler. The scholarship was established to honor Dr. Candy Young for her more than 30 years of teaching, mentoring and challenging the next generation of leaders at Truman. Dr. Young is known for her passion for teaching, learning, and her tireless efforts in and out of the classroom on behalf of the university have strengthened Truman's reputation. The Dr. Candy Young Scholarship will provide annual scholarship support for generations of Truman political science students and honor a faculty member who has made a significant imprint on the lives of so many. |
